Managing lake trout in Illinois requires ‘acts of agedness’

More older lake trout were collected by DNR in its 2022 sampling of Lake Michigan, providing biologists some insight into how lakers – both stocked fish and wild fish – are developing in Illinois waters.
Specifically, DNR was paying close attention to fish that were stocked at sites in the agency’s important Lake Trout Program.
