De-extincting the Great Lakes blue pike may be worth looking at

Blue pike were most abundant in Lake Erie but they could be caught in Lake Huron and Lake Ontario as well and occasionally in the Niagara, Detroit, and St. Clair rivers. Blue pike closely were related to walleyes.
Historically, some scientists argued they were the same species as
walleyes (just a blue color), others argued they were a distinct species.
