Reader sees toxic results in Pennsylvania from East Palestine train derailment

Reader Richard Eiler was nice about it, but he wanted us to know we’d been misled. Our story in the last issue, headlined “No fish, wildlife effects in Pa. from train derailment,” had clearly annoyed him.
The resident of South Beaver Township, Beaver County, lives about four miles, as the crow flies, from the crash site where spilled toxic chemicals were burned Feb. 3 at East Palestine, Ohio. He has seen signs of the drifting chemicals’ deadly impacts with his own eyes.
