Pennsylvania takes regional approach fighting invasive species
Published: , in Outdoor News
The Pennsylvania Governor’s Invasive Species Council is taking a regional approach in the fight against invasives.
The new approach will launch as a pilot program in 13 northwest counties in July and will be a partnership with the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts.
Using $210,000 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service, the association will conduct on-the-ground projects to remove invasive species and educational outreach to help prevent introduction of invasives.
