Minnesota DNR policy bill addresses state’s elk herd, WIA use, ground blinds

The Minnesota DNR’s policy-related bill was discussed by members of the House Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee on March 22. The bill (HF 2564, authored by Rep. Rick Hansen, DFL-South St. Paul) calls for changes to the Walk-In Access program, in the reporting of dead fish, the number of fishing lines allowed for certain river stretches, and elk management.
