Quite often the people behind the scenes who accomplish the work that positively affects our natural resources don’t receive the accolades they deserve. Senior aquatic biologist Jim Markham, with the Department of Environmental Conservation’s Lake Erie Fisheries Research Unit, changed that recently when he received the 2022 Sport Fish Restoration Outstanding Project from the American Fisheries Society.
