For those of us who aren’t trout fishing or scouting turkeys, April means the onset of raptor migration here in New York state. By simply gazing upward from time to time it’s often easy to spot a bald eagle, red-tail hawk, falcon, osprey, or even several vultures with wings outstretched lazily riding air thermals as they soar in the April sky. But, it wasn’t always so.
