Tribal walleye take below quota from Minnesota’s Lake Mille Lacs

Tribal fishers from the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, the Fond du Lake Band of Lake Superior, and six Ojibwe bands in Wisconsin combined to harvest approximated three-fourths of their walleye quota from Lake Mille Lacs this spring.

Minnesota DNR officials say tribal fishing mostly wrapped up just prior to the state’s May 13 fishing opener.
