A pair of teachers recently received Brass Bluegill awards in recognition of their efforts to give students a taste of Iowa's natural resources.
Jason Ohrt and Shane Blake were recognized by Fish Iowa! during a presentation at the Natural Resources Commission meeting last week in Des Moines. Fish Iowa! is a program used in formal settings for Iowa educators and youth leaders to help them introduce students to fishing through a wide range of activities and lesson plans.
