Saugeyes, catfish top catches at Ohio’s Paulding Reservoir

It’s about as square as they come, but the 67-acre Paulding Reservoir in northwest Ohio does offer some decent fishing.
Paulding Reservoir is a typical upground water supply basin with straight riprap banks and a flat, featureless bottom except for a number of Christmas tree attractors placed by the ODNR Division of Wildlife in 1994 and 1995.
“It’s steep-sided all the way around and I don’t think there are any shallow areas,” said Mike Wilkerson, fisheries management supervisor for the Division of Wildlife in northwest Ohio.
