After an accident paralyzed one arm, Minnesota high-schooler doesn’t let incident stop his shooting passions

Zach Day loved dirt bike riding as a kid and eventually saved enough money to buy his own bike in high school.
On Aug. 1, 2021, Day went off-roading and looked backward for a moment to check on his group. When he turned back around, he collided with a tree and his world flipped upside down.
He broke 10 bones, including his collarbone, and four nerves were damaged on his spine, paralyzing his left arm. Day had to adapt from using two arms to one arm in his daily life. A hardcore trap shooter, Day had to learn how to use one arm to hold and shoot a gun.
