With the north wind bucking, it was time to get to the slough and greet the new arrivals of waterfowl that wing into the Minnesota prairies every time the old northern howls. 
For 60-plus years, our crew has been celebrating the waterfowling season by gathering for a reunion hunt. This year, Donny Lien joined us after driving from his home in Plainview. Steve and Sue Aagesen came from Paynesville, and my son Will and I traveled only six miles from Appleton to “make the scene,” as we used to say.
