Asian longhorned ticks are in Pennsylvania, but no cause for concern yet

Asian longhorned ticks are the latest tick to surface in Pennsylvania but aren’t yet cause for alarm, according to Penn State entomologist Michael Skvarla.
Although the species was in the news recently in connection with the deaths of several cows in Ohio, Skvarla said there’s little evidence that longhorned ticks pose a threat to humans.
