Michigan’s Upper Peninsula sportsmen’s groups have been sounding the alarm – to no avail – concerning the destruction caused by the uncontrolled wolf population. The 2023 U.P. deer harvest is on track to break yet another worst-year record.
Hunting is a billion-dollar industry in Michigan, and much of that revenue is spent in the U.P. We will definitely take a hit with lost jobs and revenue due to poor wildlife management in the U.P.
