Dan Ladd: Is coyote contest ban just the start for anti-hunters in New York?

Reading Gov. Kathy Hochul’s press release announcing her signing legislation that bans coyote hunting contests, among others, it’s included supporters/commenters reads like a “who’s who” list of anti-hunters.
Of course, no one from the hunting community was included, or likely even consulted on this decision, even though Gary Muthig, of the Federation of Sportsmen Clubs of Sullivan County, told me he’d been trying for months to get Hochul’s attention before the bill even came to her desk.
