In my decades of ice fishing, I can’t remember such crazy fluctuations in temperatures and ice conditions. It seems to be a bit reminiscent of last year’s season, and it makes me wonder if this could be a new normal.
From a fishing perspective, you can use these conditions to find unpressured fish. One item to include is a “Smitty Sled.”
