Pennsylvania wildlife biologist Gary Alt honored with Lifetime Achievement Award after years of tackling tough topics

Two decades after crafting the most controversial yet impactful deer management program Pennsylvania has ever seen, wildlife biologist Gary Alt recently was honored by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
Now a resident of San Rafael, Calif., Alt, 72, received the John C. Oliver Lifetime Achievement Award from the agency’s board of commissioners Jan. 26 at its headquarters in Harrisburg.
