More CWD positives detected in Ohio, one outside of Disease Surveillance Area

There’s more bad news about chronic wasting disease (CWD) in Ohio, Mike Reynolds told state wildlife council members in January. Reynolds is administrator of wildlife management for the Ohio Division of Wildlife.
Based on current testing efforts, CWD is spreading within the Disease Surveillance Area (DSA) that encompasses all of Hardin, Marion, and Wyandot counties in the north-central part of the state, but also outside of the DSA.
