While it’s true deer more readily will come to baits strategically placed for CWD-related targeted culling during a severe winter, DNR officials say efforts thus far during a moderately cold season are meeting expectations. That’s in part because the use of bait sites isn’t the only option deployed by those shooting whitetails in specific locations in Minnesota.
