Wharton Creek: Good access, stocked trout in New York’s Otsego County
Published: , in Outdoor News
Wharton Creek winds its way 33 miles through Otsego County, passing through the townships of Richfield, Exeter, Burlington, Edmeston, and Pittsfield before emptying into the Unadilla River at the village of New Berlin.
Trout anglers, however, typically focus on the 20-mile stretch, which receives annual stockings of trout, a stretch between the mouth of the river upstream to Burlington Flats.
