Elm Island Lake in Minnesota’s Aitkin County a pike and panfish paradise

Located just southeast of Aitkin, Elm Island Lake is one of several fisheries in the Ripple River chain known primarily for producing panfish and northern pike. At just more than 500 acres and with an abundance of vegetation above and below the surface, Elm Island’s habitat suits those fish species.
