Outdoor Observations: Sharing spots shore fishing in Michigan, and that’s just fine

Evening was fading quickly, and I really didn’t have the time to take the boat down to a lake and launch it for an evening of fishing. Instead I grabbed my rod and tried a shore fishing spot near home.
To my complete surprise there was a truck already parked at “my spot.” I glanced toward the lake and saw four teens with their lines in the water. Oh well, I thought, I’ll go to another shore fishing spot in nearby Bald Mountain Recreation Area. But when I got there, again I’d been beaten to the punch.
