Unique ‘canopy walk’ at Franklin County Metroparks in Ohio takes visitors through the treetops

The phrase “walk in the woods” has a whole new meaning for folks on Columbus’ east side and anyone else interested in the outdoors.
Franklin County Metroparks opened a new walking trail in mid-May at Blacklick Woods Park in Reynoldsburg – an east Columbus suburb. The difference in this trail is that it is actually a long wooden path that rises 40 feet off the ground. Called a “canopy walk,” it loops an eighth of a mile through tops of the maple, shagbark hickory, and oak trees that abound in the park.
