When you consistently find yourself in last place as a popular sport fish, it’s a tough spot to be cheered by Lake Erie anglers. Even if you are a biological hero in your own right.
And for the freshwater drum – aka, sheepshead, Lake Erie silver bass, gray bass, “trash fish” – not many anglers request an encore presentation after reeling in just one fish. That includes if that last drum was Fish Ohio award-worthy.
