Big fish caught from Lake Erie during Southtowns Walleye Association’s 40th derby in New York

It was a case of a “rocking” atmosphere, both literally and figuratively, as the Southtowns Walleye Association of Western New York held its 40th Annual Walleye Derby on Lake Erie June 8-16. The winners were announced June 23 at the club’s awards ceremony in Hamburg, with over $100,000 in cash and prizes at stake.
In the end, it was Tim Stone of Hamburg, fishing with his brother Chuck, also of Hamburg, rolling away with the big fish overall in their boat, “The Trolling Stones.”
