The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and The Nature Conservancy in New York recently announced the state’s acquisition of two conservation easements in the Adirondacks.
The two partners are to finalize plans for the area along the Raquette River and the historic Follensby Pond. Earlier this year, the state announced the acquisition of more than 14,600 acres of ecologically unique and historically significant forests, wetlands, and watershed, mostly on the Raquette River.
