New York picks up after widespread mid-July storms

Mid-July was a treacherous time in New York, as a series of tornado-spawning storms, which also caused flooding, ripped through the state.
It started with the remnants of Hurricane Beryl on July 10 and in the weeks that followed included additional tornadoes touching down in Rome, in Oneida County, and near Warrensburg, in Warren County, later in the month. The remnants of Beryl were felt in much of the state.
