Boating-related deaths adding up in Pennsylvania this year

A 16-year-old boy died in a kayaking incident on Hammond Lake in Tioga County July 27, according to the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission, which is handling the investigation.
Rylan Weiler, of Manheim, Lancaster County, disappeared at around 8:17 a.m., and his body was recovered during a seven-hour search by multiple fire companies and other first- responders, with help from divers and drones. Tioga County Coroner James Daugherty ruled Weiler’s death an accidental drowning.
