Outdoor Observations: Here’s hoping common sense prevails in CDC regulation on importing dogs

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) created a new dog import regulation that took effect August 1. But the new regulation is so broad and intrusive for dog breeders and owners that Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation last week filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan against the CDC and the Department of Health and Human Services to overturn the new regulation.
