Streams of Thought: A brief reprieve from politics as Minnesota welcomes a new hunting season

Let’s take a break, shall we, from politics, the relentless barrage of coverage and conversation of which has left folks, including me, overwhelmed and often agitated. How about a brief reprieve?
Hunting seasons, finally and mercifully, have arrived. Early waterfowl and bear hunting begin Sunday. Grouse, deer, and regular waterfowl seasons (and others slightly less attended) follow in mid-September. My October pheasant-hunting plans are in progress. Let us rejoice!
