Ohio Insider: Still quiet on the EHD front so far

A couple of columns back, I wrote about the incidence of epizootic hemorrhagic disease (EHD) in deer in the Buckeye State.
At that time, a couple of deer were out for testing for the possibility of EHD. Checking in with Mike Tonkovich, the ODNR Division of Wildlife’s deer program administrator, reveals that there has been just one case of confirmed EHD in deer this summer with that specimen coming from Franklin County in Central Ohio.
But, we’re not quite out of the woods just yet.
