Michigan DNR will no longer relocate nuisance geese, relying instead on euthanizing problem birds

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is eliminating its goose relocation program, and will rely instead on lethal force through a federal government contract to deal with nuisance geese.
“The department has already decided on these programmatic changes,” Barb Avers, the DNR’s waterfowl and wetlands specialist, told Michigan Outdoor News. “There’s a number of reasons we need to make this change.”
