Audubon says chimney swifts are using local nesting towers

Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania recently announced $50,000 in funding from the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation’s Five Star and Urban Waters Restoration Grant program to continue conservation projects benefiting chimney swifts.
The swifts – aerodynamic, acrobatic birds that spend nearly their entire lives in the air – are about to begin their fall migration to Peru, Brazil, Colombia, and Ecuador.
