Fall turkey season kicks off Saturday in Minnesota

On the spurs of a record-breaking spring turkey harvest in Minnesota, the fall turkey season promises a return to a business-as-usual pace. The autumn kill usually hovers around a bit less than 1,300 birds.
“We don’t sell tons and tons of fall hunting licenses. … A lot of people, I think, put them in their back pockets in case they see turkeys while they’re deer hunting,” said Nate Huck, the Minnesota DNR’s resident game bird specialist.
