Ferne Clyffe State Park marked its diamond jubilee with a day of youth fishing, rock climbing demonstrations and words from retired DNR district heritage biologist Andy West.
The southern Illinois park’s 75th anniversary celebration was led by DNR Director Natalie Phelps Finnie, who grew up near here and now lives nearby. Phelps Finnie was born in Eldorado and now lives in Hardin County.
