Michigan Department of Natural Resources officials are assessing camera damage and preparing to analyze as many as 6 million trail camera images following the first full year of an ongoing wolf abundance project.
DNR Wildlife Research Specialist Tyler Petroelje presented an update to the Michigan Natural Resources Commission in October on an effort that began as a pilot in 2022 to better estimate Michigan’s wolf population.
