Ohio wildlife officer’s quick thinking helped save child’s life after mowing accident

Quick thinking, proper training, and being “in the right place at the right time” recently earned wildlife officer Jesse Janosik a Valor Award from Ohio DNR Director Mary Mertz.
Officer Janosik, who is assigned to Columbiana County, was on routine patrol north of Lisbon on July 18 this year when an alert from the sheriff’s office came over his radio that a child was severely injured in a mowing accident.
