Several years ago, O’Shaughnessy Reservoir in Delaware County in central Ohio showed the best catch rate for largemouth bass of any lake fished on Ohio’s bass tournament circuit.
A bass 12 inches or larger is considered a keeper because that’s the minimum legal size fish in O’Shaugnessy. There’s plenty of bass here, most in the 2 1 ⁄2 to 3-pound range that will run anywhere from 14 to 20 inches.
