Michigan DNR’s new assessment shows promise for walleye production in Burt, Mullett, Black and Grand lakes

Walleye production in some prominent northern Lower Michigan fishing lakes has been very good.
Walleye recruitment has been studied on Burt, Mullett, Black, and Grand lakes through fall juvenile walleye electrofishing by crews from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians. Results of the study were discussed at the Northern Inland Lakes Citizens Fishery Advisory Committee (NILCFAC) meeting last month in Indian River.
