There might be more hi-tech options in an Illinois hunter’s holster these days than there are deer in his or her woods. State laws and agencies that enforce those laws have tried to keep up, evident by a notice DNR sent out to hunters and the public two days before the Nov. 22 opener of the firearms deer season.
