Morale was admittedly somewhat low on Saturday, Nov. 16, when a large walleye broke free from Butch Faulkenberry’s line as he drew it closer to the boat to scoop up with a net.
But the mood quickly shifted to exhilaration when his son, Casey Faulkenberry, of Broken Bow, Neb., realized he might too have a big one on his line as the duo fished the Mississippi River.
