Conservation groups seek more clarity on Minnesota wage law

Published: , in Outdoor News

In mid-September, various conservation organizations met with Minnesota Department of Labor officials at a meeting to clarify the changes to the prevailing wage law that now will affect environment and conservation work.
After that meeting, the organizations sent a list of job descriptions that employees may complete on an environment project, and the Department of Labor tied those jobs to existing prevailing wage rates. The changes will almost double the hourly wage of conservation workers on various projects funded by the Legacy Amendment’s Outdoor Heritage Fund.
