With an even split down the aisle in the Minnesota House of Representatives, with 67 Republican and 67 DFL representatives, all the committees will be led by bipartisan co-chairs for the 2025-26 session.
The House Legacy Finance Committee also saw a shakeup with Rep. Joe McDonald, R-Delano, and Rep. Samantha Vang, DFL-Brooklyn Center, taking over the co-chair leadership roles. Previously in those roles, Rep. Leon Lille, DFL-North St. Paul, was the chair alongside co-chair Rep. Samakab Hussein, DFL-St. Paul.
