With all due respect, many of our inland lakes in Ohio are rather featureless upground reservoirs that were originally built for water supply purposes, not for fishing.
In other words, angling opportunities are simply a bonus in most of these places. Kiser Lake in west-central Ohio was built for industrious purposes in the 1840s to provide power for a gristmill and a sawmill that operated in the area.
