In late October, Axel Angelow reeled in a record-breaking black crappie from Cedar Lake in Rice County, Minn.
It was an 18-inch, 3-pound, 13-ounce fish that broke the previous certified-weight record by 4 ounces. Angelow’s catch dethrones the previous record, which was caught from Cedar Lake, too, on May 9, 2024.
