Glenn Sapir: A camping caravan for the ages

Four buddies on a camping trip. You might be able to relate to that kind of opportunity to spend time afield with friends. Four men made such an outing almost every year between 1915 and 1924, and in 1916 the journey took three of them through the Catskills and the Adirondacks in New York.
This might not seem noteworthy, except for who these men were. Three were American business magnates and the fourth was perhaps the most famous naturalist to live in the Empire State.
