Iced-in loons rescued on New York’s Adirondack waters

The Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation reported the successful rescue of three iced-in loons on Adirondack lakes around the Christmas holiday in late December.
Initial calls to the Adirondack Loon Center came in on Dec. 23 to report one iced-in loon on Paradox Lake, located in the town of Scrhoon, in Essex County, in the Eastern Adirondacks, and two iced-in loons on nearby Brant Lake, in Warren County.
