Hunting and fishing are a lot like baseball in some ways. There are rules and there are unwritten rules. Like you always take a 3-0 pitch. There’s no penalty for swinging at a 3-0 pitch – except for the occasional side eye – but you rarely see guys swinging away. The bulk of players respect the unwritten rule.
In hunting and fishing the unwritten rules are less well respected and break down according to whichever tribe with which you associate.
