In the fall and early winter, hunters are looking for deer wearing an impressive set of antlers. In the months that follow, an increasing number of outdoorsmen and women are looking for those same antlers no longer attached to the bucks. Shed hunting has become a sport unto its own.
In fact, dogs are being bred and trained to find sheds. Hunters are even making long trips to deer hunting meccas to seek their shed antlers.
