With nearly 240,000 whitetails harvested during the recently completed 2024-25 deer hunting season, it was a good year to be a deer hunter in Ohio.
Especially if you were chasing a buck. Ohio hunters set a new record in the number of bucks killed (100,766) for a single season. All of this is well and good until you speak to one of Ohio’s deer management biologists.
